We encourage all scouts to take part in community service projects. We have community service days and hours on the calendar on our calendar page.
Community service is a vital part of the Scouting Oath and
Law and it is required for rank advancement. Troop 159 is
always an active troop when it comes to community service
and we do not hesitate to jump into community service
around town. For Dan McGinnis's recent Eagle Project, we
installed 8 bat boxes around town. This will give bats a
home in our community, which cuts down on flies and
mosquitos. We do regular road cleanups as we have
adopted two respective roads. You'd be surprised how much
trash we find! If you are interested in making a difference in
the community, I highly recommend you join Troop (3)159.
